No right feedback and no information

On the 28th of August 2013 i was bumped from behind, on the 28th my car was evaluated for the accident report, so i had to wait for two days to get feedback on what's next to book in the car for repairs. there was nothing from the insurance, so today i decide to call and ask what's the hold up, but to find out that now they looking for the third parties information from me while i did supply the lady in-charge of my claim (Tertia) with all i have with me like the accident report, today on the 3rd of September 2013 i was told to get hold of the third parties ID number? really!! if i dint call to ask how far and when the car can be fixed, would i know that the claim is still on hold? why must i provide with the accident report while the insurance wont do nothing about it. and why must i go around looking for that info of the third party while the third party wont pay my access fee? i need my car fixed as i do pay my premiums without excuses.
and the right info is with the police not with me.
