Credits card has incorrect spelling of my Name

I have a Standard Bank credit card which was issued to me years ago. Every time standard bank issue me with a credit card, my name on the card is incorrect. I can't understand how this happens when one has to submit certified copies of your I.D etc. I call Standard Bank and the card division and they say I must go to a branch to rectify. I mean really? What for, can't they correct their mistake my looking at the documentation they aquired from me when the account was opened. I have diligently been paying instalments on this card for a while. Its a debit order but can not use the facility on the credit card because every time I go to the post office to pick up the card, they won't issue to me because my name is incorrectly spelt. I have given up! I will not go to the branch as Standard Bank Should be able to pick up the error when I phone them, rectify and re-issue a card to me for pickup at the post office. I don't want to stand in a bank in a que because of the imcompetance of someone making a blunder.
