I have a bond with Absa and also homeowners insurance. The insurance is useless because everytime i have a claim they come up with a excuse not to pay. My garage door motor got damaged after a powerfailure they send out someone to come and have a look said it was a spike they wont fix it now a tree root pushed out some bricks off a wall also cracked my neighbours pre-cast wall this is a structure part of my property well sorry we dont cover that. So why have homeowners insurance then? In case the geyser might burst? Thats it? How many people pays lots of money for actually nothing? They always came up with a excuse. This is not the way people should be treated. Why when they knew they dont cover such a occurance they still send out people to assess the damage and waste our time that we have to take off to be home for them? Not fair!!!
