On 19th Aug I went to draw R800 from autobank, machine issued receipt saying "Transaction cancelled" and then machine shut down. NO CASH ISSUED! went immediately to bank in long beach mall, drew a statement only to find that R800 had been deducted from my a/c, 20seconds before the receipt that said "Transaction cancelled" I went into the bank to report the problem, they were very unconcerned and said I would have to log a complaint/query with the customer help line. well I did so and after spending around R30 air time was told that the query would be logged and i would get my money back in 15 DAYS! I informed them that I am a pensioner and could not wait 15 days for my money. They promised to phone me back! Never happened!
I Phoned again on the 26th Aug again spoke to a "Consultant" once again after spending 20min on my cellphone was told the "Supervisor" would phone back: Never happened.
I then logged a complaint on the website complaint line, which states all complaints would receive response in 24 hours; Never happened. I am still short of the R800 plus about R120 air time, and am no further. IT seems that Standard Bank only "moves Forward" with large a/c holders
