My wheel mags recently got damaged. As my vehicle is covered for these kinds of damages by Smart Insurance, i gave them a call to claim for the damages. i spoke to Shevaughn Britz and i told her i damaged my rims. she then proceeded to ask me if there were any other damages i wanted to claim for. i then remembered that i had stone chips on the body of the vehicle. i then claimed for that also. little did i know that when im being asked for other damages, it was a way of them ensuring that my claim would exceed their pay-out limit. After they assessed the claim they told me the costs had exceeded their limit and that they can't pay. I then asked them to leave out the stone chips, as they were the ones costing more 2 repair (the supplier wanted to paint my entire vehicle and I was against that because my car was still new). So I asked if they could just fix the main damage which was my rims. They refused and told me that their policy is to ensure that my car is in showroom condition and that they can't fix the 1 damage and leave the other & that I couldn't claim for the same damages again. As a client, I have the right to decide what should be done 2 my car! I want my rims repaired!
