Second Hand parts for a claim repai

I had a minor accident with a bike FOUR MONTHS ago.
Am still awaiting the bike back from repairs shop.
Major cause of delay? The insurance assessor taking his time to visit the repairers and to make a call on getting the repairs done.
Now this isn't my main moan.
They will not replace the sensitive throttle bodies which were damaged in the accident with new parts.
Their opinion is that seeing the bike was not new, then used parts are good enough.
I am certain I never received reduced premiums to get second hand parts?
Also there is no guarantee on these parts.
Now I get a vehicle back with sensitive internals replaced with used parts and no warrantee.
