Claim not alluwed after burglary

My name is Riaan Combrink. I have been insured with Santam for a while now and have never put in a claim, however during the morning of the19th of August 2013, there has been broken into our home (garage) using a remote control, and then into my whife's car. they our camera and a pair of boots. According to the police and the insurance consultant this is not an uncommon thing and is happening on a regular basis lately. The police reported this as a burglary and Constable Machette cell phone number: 0835420788 personally gave me the case number: 357/08/2013.
Santam say that we can not put in a claim because of the fact that there was no broken entry, which is unacceptable to me because what do I pay insurance premiums for. I am not claiming more than was from me.
If you could look into the matter for me, it would be highly appreciated.
