Money Disappearing from the customer'sbank Account

Went to Capitec Bank in Matatiele to request a PIN Code for the Debit Card and an increase in the daily limit. The bank gave me the PIN and I went to a merchant to purchse goods. The card did not work. I went back to the Bank again to tell them the Debit Card is still not working. I was advised to return on Monday the 5th August 2013 where I was informed by the Bank an amount of about R20 000.00 was withdrawn from my account in in small amounts starting with R8 000.00. The money was withdrawn in a different place from where I live starting from the 4th August 2013. I asked Capitec Bank as to how can the money be withdrawn when the card is not working, they said they do not know but the money was withdrawn probably through a bank /. They refused to repay my money. After pesterising them, Capitec said they are only prepared to repay R10 000.00 and not the full amount. On what basis are they NOT repaying the full amount and only half when they know fully well that the money was not withdrawn using the non-functional Bank issued card which was in my possession all the time? This seems to be a trend with this Branch as I of another Capitec customer who lost his money same way.
