Outsurance referred me to Sias assessor centre after lock of my IX35D Hyundai was tampered with and I could not use the lock manually with the key. I also went to Hyundai Pinetown service centre for a quote. They gave me a R10 600 quote to replace the lock, strip the car and have to have the car their for 2 days and will not release the vehicle until outsurance have paid in full. I went to see Suren at Sias who is the assessor for Outsurance and received very professional advice. He disagreed with the R10 600 quote and referred me to Simone at Hyuandai Parts in New Germany. I bought the part for R861 and a locksmith who services all the big panel beaters came to my house within 15 minutes, replaced the lock with the genuine hyuandi part, reprogrammed the lock to my original keys and I was sorted. Shame on you Hyundai Pinetown service centre. Here I paid in total R1311.00 for part and replacement and reprogramming within 2 hours. Welldone Suren for your excellent advice and I saved on my no claims bonus with outsurance. What a shame for customer service I received from Hyundai service centre in Pinetown. They definitely loaded the quote - a shock for customer service.
