What happened to customer service?

Hi. I need some help please. Some background: In November 2012 we moved our car insurance to Hollard. We were happy with the monthly payments and everything went well. At the beginning of July 2013 my mother had a small accident and the guilty party said he will pay for the damage in cash and claim from his insurance. After a few day's his insurance (ABSA) asked us just to get a letter from Hollard stating that we did not claim from our insurance as well for the accident.
This is where it get interesting: Today I received a letter from ABSA that Hollard send them stating that I did not have insurance at the beginning of July 2013, so I phoned Hollard to query. As I understand what the consultant explained, when I opened the insurance in November 2012 the wrong insurance was sold to me and they closed it the same day (without telling me) the payments go true every month and I am relaxed because I am covered but when looking at the letter Hollard send ABSA I never had insurance for that time and a new policy was opened on the 12th July 2013.
