I applied for a credit card at ABSA... I was approved, but the limit was a bit high, so I asked them if they could bring the limit down before I accept, which they did - which took about 2 weeks. But the quote they sent me has a very high monthly repayment and is taken over 12 months. They explained to me that it's worked out over 12 months, but I can take it over any x amount (budget) and pay the min amount due monthly which I understand, all I want is the quote to reflect that.

I have a credit card with another bank, I want to pay up that credit card with this one and rather pay ABSA, as I'm a ABSA client and it's easier for me to keep track of things. But if the ABSA credit card is going to cost me more than what I'm paying on my African bank card, then I rather keep my existing card.

Please can someone look into this and explain it to me, I want to know exactly what my monthly repayment would be if I spend the FULL amount on the card - I will be make a EFT payment to settle my other card.
