I have a car insurance with SAU Santam, KIA brokers helped me to get the insurance for me. At the time when the broker called me they did not say anything to me about their conditions to my insurance. When the insurance company called me they mentioned that the broker added R10 000.00 to take my premium down, but did not go into detail about it I also did not ask too much about it because it is clear it was their agreement with them and the broker because if it concerned me or going to affect me it would have been cleared with me first. I had an accident on the 07/07/2013 and reported the matter to the insurance for claim, when I asked about the excess they told me it was R15 000.00, which the R5 000.00 I understand but when I questioned the other amount they told me it is the voluntary excess the broker added to my insurance, I asked them how? They told me I agreed with the broker so that my premium can go down. I asked them for proof, the broker does not have anything in writing or even a telephone recording to proof that we discussed this voluntary excess, and how it works and all that, now they telling me that it was the responsibility of the insurance
