The amount of R12 700.00 was investigated for a product i bought and contract i signed with a company called Mustang Marketing. The merchant is in breach of contract by keeping a full amount and not a montly instalment as agreed upon. Standard Bank Credit card investigated this issue and refunded me the amount as all documentation was given to them and the outcome was positive in my favour. The merchant has taken the money out of my account every months since then and Standard bank keeps refunding me and promise they will block this merchant. The Credit Card department told me to send a cancelation letter with the product back to the merchant, which i did and it was resolved and money was payed back. after 3months the merchant keeps deducting the amount From my card and standard bank keeps refunding me.
what did they investigated then previously? I also had no Money in my credit card available when the R12700 amount was taking from my credit card and the bank just let it go thru without my knowledge. My lawyer advice me to take this matter up with the Credit Regulators and the Ombitsman for Banking as it is illegal to increase my credit limit for a unauthorised amount.
