Standard Bank
Delinquent HomeLoan account

I had a homeloan account at Standardbank up to 2003. In 2003 i lost my work and found it difficult to make payments. At the end i sold the house to repay my bond in full. Due to my irregular payments for a number of months the bank marked my loan as delinquent, despite from the fact that they received their full outstanding amount when the house was sold at the end.

Now I am applying again for a home loan at standard Bank. My first application was done by myself and after 4 days the bank came back with approval of the 40% loan I applied for. Unfortunately i could not buy the house due to various other reasons. A month later i made another offer on a house and again approach Standard back for a 40% loan (60% would be a cash deposit). They declined my application on the basis that i had a delinquent home loan account. After sending them the proof 5 times they still declined my application based on the fact that they have not received any information to the contrary.

I am on the verge of losing the house due to the way Standard bank treats its customers. First labeling their accounts in an irregular way and then simply just not serving them efficiently and effectively.
