I was awarded a cash loan by ABSA back in 2011 and all went well with the repayments of my loan up until one month it happened that I couldn't make payments on the loan. So I called collections department to make arrangement on my arrears on the account.
Collections and I, we came to an agreement to settle the amount in arrears into 4 payments so this meant instant of paying R2190 I was now going to pay extra.
Then it happened that I get offered a Debt consolidation Loan from Absa beginning of the year and I told them I opted to settle my ABSA loan and payment of plus minus R60000 was paid to ABSA as a settlement to my loan with them.
To my surprise I still get calls saying I still owe amount of R2900 odd, on my loan with ABSA and we I tell them that a settlement was paid for the loan I'm told maybe the system didn't update. I never received a settlement letter or even one statement from ABSA, since I was the customer to date.
Can someone please sort this issue out as I had one account loan with ABSA and intended to keep a good credit record with the bank because when I was in need you were there for me?
