Last year, 2012, on the 20th October there was a freak hail storm which hit a number of areas in Johannesburg. I suffered quite a bit of damage to windows, outside lights, asbestos roofing to sheds and others. I duly reported the losses and Nedbank appointed a Loss Assessor called Oeschger Enterprises to handle the loss. 7 weeks went by and still my broken windows just weren't getting replaced. What's more is that this was the rainy season and my carpets were getting soaked everytime it rained. In desperation I found a supplier who replaced the windows immediately at my cost in 1 day. That cost me R12 350. I'm still waiting to be re-imbursed for this amount. It is now more than 10 months later and my claim has still not been resolved and neither has my money been re-imbursed. Oeschger Enterprises, who are supposed to be handling the claim, are evasive and INCOMPETENT. Apart from the broken windows that I had replaced at my cost nothing else has been done. Nedbank have had the use of my money for more than 10 months now so I expect them to pay me interest on my money.
I've been with Nedbank for 37 years now and this is how they repay loyalty.
