Since November 2012 we've been unsuccessful with regards to Surplus Money to be refunded to my mother. The documents was submitted via Speed Services Post with tracking numbers and again hand delivered on 16th May 2013.
Every week we've been calling the call centre to find out what the delay is and every time you get told to check in 3-4 weeks. It's been with the payment department forever. By the time they are about to eventually pay they will have to re-calculate the interest to be added!
Why should one battle to get money due to them PLUS interest when everything has been submitted?
I don't think the people at MIBFA have any idea or consideration how much inconvenience it is for a Senior Citizen who get a small goverment income to keep phoning, paying postage and petrol to hand deliver the documents and still have to wait until somebody catch a wake up.
