My Credit cards were in Rome when I was on holiday during July 2013. Contacted Nedbank from Rome to ask for help to get money or new cards. Lady said will take 7 to 9 days to issue new cards and I can get it in S.A. No help explaining that I am in Europe without money. I got upset and told her I am not in S.A. Got answer back do not shout at me. When I noticed the cards were I contacted a person in S.A. to cancel the cards and he was told that within 48 hours I would be help with new cards. What would have happened if I had no money on me. This is not the first time that I have gone oversees and I always take my credit cards with me and do not take cash with me. The bank was not interested in helping me at all. I think this is pathetic. The lady from the tourist company that booked my flights and accommodation help me to get money out of her own pocket. Is this the way Nedbank help their clients? I will never promote Nedbank to any person who intend in going oversees. I have been a client of Nedbank when it was Permanent bank before Nedbank took it over and that is more than 45 years and I get this kind of treatment.
