My husband had a policy with Old Mutual, and on his passing the income of this policy is now being paid to me.I require a proof of income on this policy and also IRP5 yearly. Each time I call to get any of the above information I am met with the most unhelpful bunch of employees.
My last query started on Mon 29/07/2013 I requested my proof of income at 11:40 on Tues 30/07/2013 17:21 they requested a copy my ID that I supplied immediately. On Wed 31/07/2013 08:43 they informed me that there was no active policy listed for me.at 09:26 I replied and explained the situation, they then supplied me with a copy of the policy (not what I asked for) at 11:03am. At 12:52 I requested proof of income again at 15:27 proof of income was sent in my deceased husbands name.... Yet again not what I asked for!! Thurs 01/08/2013 at 09:30 we called the call centre AGAIN, got transfered to the wrong department, then got transfered 3 more times before getting to the right dept. Hope fully now at 09:46 i will have the docs I need.
Why can Old mutual not give decent customer service? Each time I need assistance they have a way to give me the run around for days on end.
