Card stopped after hack

First off, I would like to thank Keenan who phoned me for his patience and excellent phone manner.
I'm quite disappointed by Standard Bank who appears to have exposed my credit card details according to the call I received. I was asked to authorize my card being stopped.
I do ALL of my purchases on my purchases on my credit card and pay off the balance at the end of the month to help me keep track of my budget. I also have a number of sites (PayPal, iTunes, etc) that use my credit card for payment. I understand that Standard Bank did not intentionally leak the information that requires my card to be stopped, but nor did I. What is Standard Bank's plan on compensating for the inconvenience caused by this? If a bank customer makes a late payment, they get charged interest as a penalty. I now lose my credit card facility and have to wait 72 hours.
