NOT the Way Insurance Should Be

My car and home is insured by Virgin Money Insurance. On 17 November 2012, my car was broken into and the central locking system, ignition and electronics were damaged in an attempt to my car. I called Virgin Money Insurance who's initial service was good. My car was towed away, I received sms updates and when I put in a claim on the Monday morning, I received a courtesy car the next day. After that it was just poor service. No one came back to me about the status of my repair work, almost no sms notifications except the claim agent's details. She did not return my calls or let me know what was happening. After the 2 weeks, I had to return my hire car because VMI had estimated that it would only take 2 weeks to get my car fixed and returned to me. I have now been waiting for over 9 weeks and still no car. I may get my car back on Friday, which would make it almost 10 weeks. I initiated almost all the calls to them and the panelbeaters through this very frustrating process. This is certainly the worst experience I've ever had in the insurance industry. So much for Virgin Money Insurance's payoff line - The Way Insurance Should Be. This is just incompetence and poor service.
