Unacceptable & Non Existant Customer Service!

On the 19th June, I had a cheque from a clinet of mine, that didnt clear, I called the customer service line 08600 08600 (national 24hour customer line) to check what I could do. I called & listen to their message for 45mins saying that I will be helped by the next avail operator. Call was then cut. I called back, waited a further 45mins & line was cut for a second time. The call was never answered.

I send an email complaint via their website that same evening to complain about this - as this was an urgent matter, I needed help. I was automatically mailed a trace number for my complaint - EC: 286D324E
Today, 5 weeks later, I get an email from their customer service dept (their first response)
This is UNACCEPTABLE - ABSA customer service is almost non-existant.

As a comparision, I called both Nedbanks, & FNB customer service lines, I spoke to someone within 2 mins, & was helped almost straight away.
I will now be cancelling all my business accounts with ABSA, & transferring to a bank that actually cares about its clients.
Clearly, the ABSA 24hour customer line, afterhours, just let calls hang & dont pick up.
