If you phone OnePlan the automated message will tell you how quick and simple the claims process is. This is so far from the truth! I have been struggling for almost 2 months to get my money back from OnePlan!
First of all I had to be treated as a private patient as the Hospital said that OnePlan are terrible payers and that they would not be able to help me otherwise. So I paid everything, amounting to almost R5000 out of my pocket.
Now I am trying to get the money back, I sent through all documents & invoices and receipts as I was instructed to do. So after many complaints Oneplan paid me an amount for X-rays and Medication which was a total of R500. I was also told that another amount for x-rays and doctor consultation would be paid, but would be paid to the doctors themselves, I told Oneplan that this was wrong and re-sent the receipts, they agreed that I should be refunded this amount but still paid the doctors. I now have to go to the doctor and radiologist to get my money back, I don't understand why I must waste my time and energy and money running around and phoning to fix their mistake! But I will do it or I may never see my money???
