Due to financial constraints, I've missed one repayment on my housing loan for March 2013. Without any consultation or discussion, ABSA's Legal division proceeded with an instruction for a "Sale in Execution". Subsequent to lodging an appeal (e-mail, dd 8 July 2013) on ABSA's "Actionline", I've received a rather blunt e-mail reply (dd 19 July 2013) from a Me. Fayrola Moola, stating that ABSA acted within its rights and is not prepared to negotiate further on this matter. It was also explicitly stated that the "Sale in Execution" (to be held on 26 July 2013), will only be called off upon receipt of the full balance as stated in her e-mail. Upon receipt of that e-mail and due to the urgency in preventing the action, I immediately appeal to ABSA's "Resolve" office for possible intervention. Except for an e-mail confirmation of receipt of my latter appeal, no further response was received. Given ABSA's slow response and unwillingness to offer any assistance, it would appear that ABSA is rather "desperate" to get my property dispossessed ... (???)
