I have been banking with FNB for over 10YRS. And one day I needed to get a loan, Well did I get a wake up call. Everyday you hear the ad for FNB How Can We Help You, Well that is so far from the truth its not even funny. I was told I don't qualify for a loan cause I don't keep 30% of my salary in account. 30% Are they crazy, I am a single mom with 2 kids who gets to keep even 10% of thier salary in their bank account. Yes if I was offered loan I can make sure there is money in the account. I feel FNB have their priorities wrong. They are not there for the people with families. They should be more for single people who can afford to keep 30% in the bank. The worst is I don't qualify for any of FNB financial aids. Except for the temp loan from the ATM machine but even that you can only make use of once or twice every 5 months. And the highest is R2000 sometimes less.
So I shall be going to Capitec were many of my friends have switched too. At least there I got my loan and they have easer banking times too.
