I was involved in an accident on the 14th of June, that left my car in a non-drivable state. I called my insurance to let them know about it, they had my car towed and put to a safe place. This was done without first informing me that the towing and storage costs were to be at my own cost since i was involved in an accident and my cover didn't have accidental or intentional cover but only third party, fire and, a mini comprehensive cover according to the agent who sold me the cover. Because of Miway, i now owe the towing company (Van Wettens) for the towing which MiWay authorised. Had MiWay informed me that the towing would be at my own cost, i would have made alternative arrangements. In fact, even before the authorised towing company's vehicle got to the scene of the accident, there was already a towing vehicle on-site that had given me a price that is half what the authorised towing company charged me. Now, i thought insurance companies are there to make life easier, but with MiWay, they make it difficult by getting one into debt.
