A while back I had a huge problem with nedbank as I took a personal loan, paid them in full prior to the loan term end date and received a surprise when I was advised I still owed them interest. They placed a garnishing order on my salary and have been paid in full in 2011. I received a letter from attorneys Maritz, Schreurs and Du Preez Inc advising the judgement amount had been collected and that their file will be closed. To me the average person this was the end and I was content. I applied for a home loan and was advised there was a judgement in my name and that I had to go to court to have this removed but needed a letter of permission from the creditor, NEDBANK. I contacted them in March for a recession letter and was promised the letter will be emailed to me. To date no letter has been received and I have not heard a word from them. The lady I spoke to upon requesting the letter did not even know what a recession letter was and stumbled with my request. Why must I the mere man who simply asked a bank for a loan and had faith in them suffer twice for the same loan. All I want is for the judgment to be uplifted
