Policy not cancelled as per customer request

Last month I cancelled my policy with Miway insurance because another very reputable company offered me less than half of my premium and a reduced excess. When I phoned to cancel my policy they were rude and told me, "Well you'll still need to pay for next month because in the contract it says you must give us a months notice". I said that was understandable and asked the lady to make sure that my policy would definitely 100% be cancelled. She agreed that it would be cancelled. I paid for June as they said. It's now July and I've been billed again because they obviously haven't cancelled the policy as she promised me they would. I phoned yesterday to get it done properly and the person in the cancellations department wasn't there. She said the right person would call back yesterday and nobody did.

I expect Miway to cancel my policy and pay me back the premiums they overcharged me for.
