We registered a new bond with ABSA approximately 2 years ago. Over the past weekend we realised a pipe had burst in our house and water was leaking from under neath the carpet in our bedroom. I phoned ABSA first thing Monday morning to open a new claim. Firstly I was told that I actually do not have a bond with ABSA at all??? After a few more calls I was able to convince them that I do have a bond, but was now told that I did not have a policy covering my building!! Ridiculous! I have proof of mails shared with them during the bond registration saying I accept the quotes shared with me. Why would I not want to cover my building??? It is 2 days later now and after being passed from pillar to post no one has since helped. I even logged a call on there "Hot line" at 11:30 on Tuesday... NO FEEDBACK AS YET!!! Not even a call stating they are looking into it. I now have 2 bedrooms under water and it is getting worse by the hour.
ABSA this is not the sort of treatment I expect! I have been a loyal ABSA client for more than 15 years now, but no longer!
