I wish to lodge a complaint about First National Bank, for overcharging me huge amounts in bank charges. I have a Platinum Cheque Account with them. My account number is currently 62360234349. When I joined FNB, it was then 62231417438, but Debt Councellors suggested I close it down and open a new one. When I was upgraded to my current account, I was told I would pay R120 monthly flat fee for my banking charges. That did not materialize as I was assured. Instead, my charges shot up to almost R500 every month. It took me a long time to notice that, but when I did I telephoned FNB to complain about this. I was informed the fault was caused by their Consultant who upgraded me at their Carlton Centre Branch. I was told there was nothing FNB could do for me, because that Consultant had resigned from FNB. All I want from FNB is to be refunded all extra charges, unethically charged from my account. I never received even a cent of my hard earned money, which was taken away from me by FNB, over a period of years since 2010. I will be very grateful, if you can name and shame FNB for overcharging my account and declining to pay me back what is lawfully due to me. Regards... Zolani Mlanduli
