Shocking service from Standard Bank! After 1 week I am still trying to find out from Standard Bank how to unfreeze my account. They have received my salary into my account but because my account is frozen they won't let me access my salary. After numerous phone calls, going into the branch, nobody at Standard Bank can unfreeze my account. I have been pushed from one department to the next - nobody is prepared to help sort this out!
They have clearly taken the money that was owed in order to freeze the account but now won't allow me to access the rest of my funds.
You would think in this day and age with banks desperately advertising for new business that Standard Bank would be doing their utmost to keep existing clients happy but apparently not!
Keeping a persons' money and not assisting with making my account active again after receiving funds, this amounts to!
Beware of Standard Bank, they are dishonest and unhelpful!
