I recently joined Outsurance because of their seeming competence. Just a month after joining them I was in an accident trough no fault of my own. When I contacted them regarding the accident I was assisted very well at first and I was under the impression that everything else will go fine. I was told my car was going to be fixed and the person that caused the accident will then have to contact his insurance company to have it reimburse my insurance company. I paid the excess fee of R3400 as per policy and was told eventually the person that caused the accident will then have to pay me back. I saw the slowness of the proceedings by that other party and that is when I contacted their legal team. I spoke to a gentleman regarding my excess and I was told that case had been close. No one had contacted me to tell me of this. I was furious and when I asked why I was told due to the nature of the accident I am at fault. I was travelling at a two way road and was turning to fill up at a petrol station on my right hand side and the road permitted my turning when out of no where a bakkie overtook on a double barrier lineand hit us. They say according to some traffic law in RSA I am at risk
