Account handed over to debt collectors

I was sent a paid up letter for the below mentioned account number by Bongani Mazibuko and the next thing i know the same account has been handed over to debt collectors and my name has been listed with credit bureau as a defaulter, i was called by the debt collectors (VVM) and i sent them the paid up letter and they still continued to list me as a defaulter, I need for my name to be cleared and proper procedures be followed.
