Really service from call centre divisions

Got new credit card in the last 2 weeks. Tried using it the first time on the 14/06. entered the pin on the pay point machine and was told pin accepted and remove card. Got a message saying the transaction was declined. Paid with my cheque card there after. This happened once in jhb and twice in dbn after this incident. After spending 47min:07s getting put from dept to dept I was finally told by a very nice lady that this was happening due to this account having collection issues or being with the collections dept (ref no 720800789). She put me through to the collections dept. THe IVR told me that I would have to wait up to 10mins for a consultant. 50mins later I was still holding for a consultant. IS THAT SERVICE??? ALL THAT PAIN jsut to try and find out why my new card was with the collections dept. HTF can it take so long for the "specialised consultant" to answer a call? Is there only 1 "specialised consultant working for standard bank in the collections division.

THIS TOOK UP MY ENTIRE LUNCH BREAK. NOT ON.

I have to say though the staff at Briardene standard bank were very helpful and I have no issue with them.
