I left my company in May 2013, old mutual confirmed receipt of all my documents to process my claim on the 20th of may. i made a call last week thursday just to follow up on how far my claim is as i understand that there is waiting period of 4-6 weeks, i was told everything was in order. Today i made a call and initially spoke to an agent who was extremely helpful and escalated my claim as it is 5 weeks and my funds are sitting in an interest bearing account for just over 3 weeks. i later receive a call from a lady saying they need my divorce agreement. i sent this through and called again to confirm that my e-mail was received which it was sent to the legal department. now i get told that i have to wait a further 10 days for the legal department to verify my divorce.
so firstly why wait 5 weeks to request my divorce order? - i was divorced in 2009 and married in anc. im pretty sure that if the divorce order stated that i need to pay a portion to my ex wife (WHICH IT DOES NOT DUE TO ANC) That claim would have made 4 years ago...
I am done being patient and i truely understand that people need to follow process however i need urgency to be placed on my claim...
