Unable to pay AVAF account due to Absa action

I had two active Vehicle finance accounts with Absa. Both paid monthly from my Internet banking as "beneficiaries". For some reason, one cannot "transfer" money from your Absa Current Account to your Absa Vehicle Finance account, one has to "pay" the account as one would do with third party payments.

One vehicle was paid up, however Absa closed both beneficiaries on my IB banking profile.

I had set up automatic "future payments" to the beneficiary relating to my live AVAF account which failed this month due to the beneficiary not existing anymore. Trying to reinstate the beneficiary from my side leads to a "- BANKFIN FAILED TO REINSTATE BENEFICIARY" error message from the IB site.

I am now repeatedly being called by the vehicle finance collections team (my payment was due on the 20th) and told that they have no ability to deal with this and i need to visit a branch.

I have requested the collections team to refer the matter to whomever in Absa can reinstate the beneficiary (presumably the same team that erroneously closed it in the first instance) but they have been either unable or unwilling to do so.
