I bought a vehicle recently and tried to get an insurance quote on the vehicle from outsurance. They advertised that if I could beat their quote they would give me R400 cash as a reward. I have since found insurance cheaper elsewhere and when calling back to outsurance to claim my reward I was either dismissed or told that my quote can only be looked at against my current insurance premium in 6 months time. I'm pretty sure I will get another excuse for not paying me their promised reward when the 6 months expire. This means that the R400 reward is just a false promise to mislead customers into believing that they are the best value insurance providers.
