After a long email chain in which I tried to get a statement on an account from Standard Bank, I finally received it. I then found out I was paying for credit life protection. I have been trying since 28 May to get this cancelled as I know there are no circumstances under which they will actually pay out.
I have been told by Standard Bank to contact Standard Bank Insurance, who ignored me too. I then got an sms stating that Liberty was now responsible for this policy so I contacted them. They then told me to contact Standard Bank.
All this delay means they get to take another premium, which is their goal. The longer they delay, the more money the get from me. This institution really needs to find a dictionary and find out what the word "ethical" means.
