I was in an accident where one of their clients drove into the back of my vehicle at a stop street, in a hospital parking area.3rd party claim has been submitted. Once I received the settlement proposal on the claim, they offered R10 000.00 less than all the quotes I received on the damage, which I could still stomach, as they could do their repairs on my behalf and pay the panel beater the amount as agreed on. But then came the actual issue. THEIR client drove into ME, but I need to arrange for a rental car on my cost, because they do not cover same on the claim. I am the one being inconvenienced. for a period of 2 weeks (repair time as per the panel beaters), but I need to carry the financial loss for a rental car in order to get to work every day. How do you do that calculation?? This is a complete disgrace. Once again a shining example of a big corporate simply abusing its position against the private individual. They have an agreement with the panel beater for a lower rate but no agreement with a rental company for the risk of their client's conduct that they carry by agreement. I didn't ask for a Ferrari just a small run around.
