I am in arreas with my car installment. The last payment I made was on the 15 May 2013 - R5300. I can only make the outstanding R12000 when I get paid on 14 June 2015. In addition to this it will be the monthly installment. In total we are looking at about R17000.
What I do not understand is the call I received from someone who told me that he is mandated by Standard Bank to get the car since it is in arreas. I am amazed because I never received any notification informing me that the car will be repossed.
I would also like the bank to verify if it did receive the last payment I made in May 2013, as I did this electronically via my FNB account.
All I am asking is for a leeway until the 14 of June as that is the date I will be able to bring the account up to date.
