Outsurance claims to give you R400 cash back if you get insurance pricing cheaper elsewhere. T&C's apply. There's a number of insurance companies that offer cheaper pricing than Outsurance, but when having that conversation with Outsurance, the response is along these lines " Sir, you have to look at the excess and total cover, it has to be like for like". No competitors out there typically operate like for like, there has to be product differentiation to capture the market, so this whole promotion is a joke. This however wasn't my concern, I am a customer of Outsurance, however noticed a decline in customer service overall, I've got cheaper quotes (with no excess) and Outsurance could not even match that pricing (including excess which i was willing to pay), basically told me if it comes to this situation it's best i cancel my policy.
