No cash received but account reflects money was

I withdrew R600 from an ABSA atm at a convient store but no money was dispensed but my account reflects R600 less. I went to FNB chatsworth were my account is held and a form was filled in by the consultant and I was told it would take 10 working days and the money will be back in my account. Ten day have come and gone and nothing has happened so I went to the bank again today and was told by the consultant that I needed to call the saswitch no and they will give me a reference or case no and tell me whats happening to my query
The consultant did try to contact the saswitch no for over an hour she was put on hold. I dont see why I must phone and get a case no because I bank With FNB and I believe it is their responsibility to resolve this matter. F.N.B statement is (HOW CAN WE HELP U) help me resolve this matter as I am out of pocket for R600
