Account upgraded without permission

Last year, at the tygerberg branch, had paid over 300 in bank charges, despite being a student, on the student account. I handed in all documents at the start of the year, as I have been doing for the past 5 years. But no one had changed it on the system After returning to the branch and complaining, I had to reregister and was reassured I would be refunded for the erroneous charges. The manager was adament in accusing me of having forgotten to bring my documents. I then received a call 2 weeks later saying I need to register as a student again, apparently it was not done again! I was then told head office needs to refund my expenses, after calling customer service they said someone at the branch had to complete a ledger for me to receive the money. I went back to the bank and was told the person responsible for doing so was not available that week. I am a student, supporting myself and had to do so much driving to sort this out. I never was refunded.
This year I went to the tygervalley branch registered successfully, but today received an sms saying I've been upgraded to a silver credit card. Who gave you permission! I did not sign anything!
