ABSA's systems and people are so useless! I tried to URGENTLY make a payment last night but I got a message saying NOT IDENTIFIED AND VERIFIED.

I took in my original green barcoded ID book and a valid proof of residence to my local branch and it was accepted and processed by your banking staff. This was done within the last two months.

Your error has now cost me my reputation with someone who I promised would receive his payment last night. This lack of payment is going to mean that the intended work will commence later and will not be finished in time, and the knock-on effects are massive! I also wanted to transfer money to another card which I had with me so that I could draw money for petrol - now ABSA's error has left me stranded without petrol and with no means of getting money so that I could get home last night!

I tried calling ABSA's call centre to try and speak to an agent but after holding for around 20 minutes, I ran out of airtime. Because ABSA isn't working, I can't load more airtime or draw money to buy airtime!

Do I have to FICA every two months? Why didn't anyone contact me before blocking my account?

I need money URGENTLY now, and I can't get to a BRANCH!
