This is my fourth complaint about the failure to use my newly issues Mastercard online. Was notified about 2 months back about possible on the previous Credit card and was authorised a new card.
Since receiving this card every online purchase attempt has been problematic, starting with OTP and authorisations. When reported about 6 weeks back was told everything is sorted and there should be no further problems using the card.
The bank blames the merchant and the merchant is response is as follows: Your purchases are being declined by your issuing bank. Please contact your credit card company to authorise the purchase prior to attempting to purchase again.
This service is pathetic, Standard Bank cannot honestly justify the bank charges for such incompetent service. yesterday I was given a guarantee by the Manager that I will not have an issues using the card going forward!
This bank is a farce!!!
