Every month I withdraw my maintenance in pounds and have it paid to my Nedbank Current Account. Each month Nedbank sit with the money for a good 3 or 4 days without paying it over. In fact I have to phone in to receive it - this after paying them a R75 admin fee already. Can they deduct my telephone charges from their administration fee please since they never call me and hang on to the money for as long as they can before I call in to ask where it is. This service is completely unacceptable - I would much rather draw my pounds with a different bank - it just seems easier since I bank with Nedbank. About 4 months ago I was told I could have this procedure automated, each month when I call Nedbank Global they promise to send me application forms and they never do. I will rather take my business elsewhere as this attitude is a bit rotten. I don't think Nedbank has the right to hold onto funds when it does not belong to them, what are their staff doing that they cannot make these phone calls to the client to verify an international payment?
