Last month I received a call from an agent from African Bank offering me an increase on my credit card. I currently have a credit card which I am paying R510 a month for R6000, when she called she offered me an additional R7000 and I would pay back R597 a month which I gladly accepted. She asked me to take my documents into the branch to approve my offer. When I took my documents into the branch the sales agent cancelled the deal which they offered me over the phone and re did a offer which only gave me an additional R3000 on my card and payments would be just under R600 a month. I accepted the offer as I was desperate at the time for the cash. I am totally unhappy with how this all turned out. I was offered an increase of R7000 with sales agent on the phone and then when going to the bank the offer was R4000 less. I would like African bank to draw up the recorded conversation when the agent called me as I am not satisfied with R3000 increase. I was offered R7000 increase and that is what I agreed to. All calls are recorded so now is the time to go back and check why I was given a total different offer as to what your sales agent offered me.
