I've been with outsurance from 2009 for vehicle insurance and recently at the beginning of May called them to add Home insurance to my policy. I received a reasonable quote of R653.14 which includes my car and household insurance. Today on the 24 May 2013 I received a rerate notification which stated that my premium would be increased to R792.65 per month when I havent even paid the updated premium which was quoted at the beginning of the month. It's shocking that Outsurance quotes members one fee and then changes their premium within the same month. I then called them to which they stated that there is an annual increase but surely people working at outsurance should take this into consideration when giving people the initial quote. They then stated the best they could do was reduce the increase to R670.91 which is only R20 but I had to phone first to get this and it shouldnt have increased in the first place! I am also still waiting for my car to be fixed from Hail Damage which happened Last year November. It seems customer satisfaction is last on their list!
