I had called discovery to add an additional property to my policy, instead they cancelled my policy. I picked it up just over a month after the cancellation. Immediately called them and was issued a new policy because I had 'Apparently cancelled my policy". It took me 1 and a half months of phone calls trying to resolve this issue. Discovery would not call me back, I had to continuously follow up. Eventually Discovery admitted to their fault but then double debited my account without my consent to reinstate the original policy, which i did not have cover for 2 months!!! after calling Discovery on numerous occasions I was eventually refunded. The new policy is still in place but my DQ points have not been carried over. So my rebate is lower because of their mistake!!! I would never recommend discovery insure to anyone, the only benefit from them is the cash back on fuel! I do not feel confident that the Discovery will payout in the event of a claim.
