Absa
Religious Intollerence

I am applying for a home loan with Absa. They have mandatory training for first time applicants, which I think is very good. But it's only on Saturdays, and as a Seventh Day Adventist, Saturday is a holy day for us, free from business activities, I requested that alternative arrangement be made.
Apparently there is absolutely no way that training can be held or attended on an alternative day. I find this very intolerant, as my beliefs are very similar to those of the Jewish faith, I am sure they have this query quite often, and I am shocked that they will refuse to make any allowance for an entire faith community.
I would really like to do business with ABSA, but not if they are going to insist on overlooking my choice to adhere to my personal faith beliefs.
I can't believe that over a small issue like this they would actually prefer to lose a customer (from whom they should make a lot of money off the loan repayments) instead of trying to be accommodating.
